Why GOODFITS?

GOODFITS: Everyone Can Go to College is a simple, informative and inspiring resource for you, your students and your families.

We wrote these books with the simple goal of providing easy-to-follow stories and advice on how to achieve college admissions dreams.

In English or Spanish, we want to inspire everyone to pursue a path to college!

Marisela

Marisela has supported families with the college admissions process since 2002. Her motivation comes from her own experience, as a daughter of immigrants and a first generation student. She believes that all students can achieve their college goals and that with the right information, they can take charge of their future.

Marisela is an expert in the field of college admissions and financial aid. She worked for Santa Clara University for 12 years and founded her independent counseling firm, Inspired Education, in 2017.

With all her experience, she has informed and helped thousands of families from hundreds of high schools in the US and abroad to remove barriers, create options, and inspire them to pursue their college dreams.

Marisela received a BA in Sociology with minors in Spanish, Ethnic Studies, and International Studies from Santa Clara University. She also received a M.A. in Administrative Education from Santa Clara University.

Brooke

Brooke has helped thousands of students prepare for the SAT and ACT. He works to level the testing field since standardized testing favors students with more resources and those who speak English as a first language.

His teaching career began in 1996 at St. Paul/OLV School in Chicago, IL. From there, he lived in Santiago de Chile where he worked as an English teacher. In Chile, he began preparing his students for exams like the GMAT and TOEFL.

When he returned to the U.S. in 2002, he founded CROSSWALK Test Prep & Tutoring. Since 2010, Brooke has been working at the Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, CA where he is a Spanish teacher, water polo coach, and college counselor.

Brooke received a B.A. Spanish and Communications from Boston College in 1996. Brooke also received an M.B.A. from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in 2004.
